Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), also known as Indian gooseberry, is a deciduous tree native to India and grows throughout Southeast Asia, including Sri Lanka, Nepal, China, and Malaysia. The amla tree can reach heights of up to eight meters, and it thrives in tropical and subtropical climates. Its small, round fruits are greenish-yellow in color, slightly ribbed, and have a characteristic sour taste. Due to their nutritional value, they are highly valued, especially in Indian tradition - Ayurveda. They contain naturally occurring nutrients, including minerals such as calcium, potassium, and iron.
In Ayurveda, amla is also called amalaki. Amalaki is one of the three components of the traditional Ayurvedic mixture called Triphala, used for body cleansing. Triphala means "three fruits," and besides amla, it also consists of haritaki (Terminalia chebula) and bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica).
Amla has a long history of use. It is often used as part of a daily routine to support overall well-being. In Ayurveda, it has long been used as a food that contributes to the internal harmony and balance of the body. It is also found in cosmetic products for hair and skin care.
Organic Amla powder, which contains only 100% natural amla without additives from organic farming, easily fits into your everyday life - simply mix the powder into water, tea, juice, smoothie, or even yogurt or cereal. It is suitable for anyone who wants to support their body in a natural way and introduce a touch of Indian tradition into their routine.
With the help of Indian gooseberry, you can also provide nutrients to your hair. Simply mix the powder with warm water and apply the mask to a wet scalp.
